WHY THE BOOK?

Greetings to all students, teachers and avid learners reading my book. It is, undoubtedly, a matter a great satisfaction in launching “PHOTONS – To revise heavy concepts of Physics at light speed.” I, Pauras Pritam Smita Mhatre, thank you from the bottom my heart for using this book. My roots are from a simple family situated in Vasai, a small town in Palghar district of Maharashtra. At this moment, I am grateful for the great upbringing sought to me since childhood. My parents, family and relatives have been really supportive in all my endeavours, bestowed upon me the blessings of values especially humility and kindness. The credit of my success in academics and extra-curricular activities goes majorly to Dr. Rohan Gavankar. I can’t really thank him enough. I come from St. Anthony’s Convent High School, Koliwada, Vasai, the teachers whereof I am immensely grateful. I wouldn’t miss a chance to express my love from my dearest friends who have been with me, supportive in all ups and downs. Cutting the further story short (details some other day); then came the two years preparing for entrances; 2 years of memories, hardwork and much more; the train travel (more than 3 hours total daily), support from friends and love, guidance, support from all professors. Over the years, what I realised is that students need more emotional support than academic support from teachers and parents; which my teachers and parents never failed to give. A special request to professors and parents out there: Please don’t be harsh and too strict on your child. He/she needs YOU AND YOUR SUPPORT. Also, suggestion to students: To stay away from all the negative people/ things in your life, who put you down, demotivate and hurt you. You should not at all care about them. Also, remember that Social Media and Smartphones are double-edged swords, use them wisely (like for reading NCERTs on Google Drive or WhatsApp to get doubts cleared from professors, etc.) and not as distractions.
